Seed Swap
March 28 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Seed Swap is Growing!
Bring Your Seed Bank and Much More
Our community seed swap event is back and growing with new activities, new vendors, and new ways to connect. This gathering is for anyone who loves gardening, homesteading, and rural living. Bring seeds and plants to share with your neighbors! Tag along with your family, your friends, and your curiosity. Our space is yours.
What to Expect:
Seed Swap Area
The heart of our community seed swap event is the exchange table. You can bring seeds from your garden, leftover packets, or varieties you want to introduce to others. You can also bring plants to trade. This is a simple way to learn from one another and help each other grow. Everyone is welcome, no matter your level of experience.

Plant and Handmade Goods Vendors
This year’s community seed swap event includes a full vendor area. You can browse perennial plants, indoor plants, and hard‑to‑find exotics for sale. You will also find handmade items like soaps, balms, pottery, and natural products. These booths support local makers and give you a chance to bring home something unique.

Agricultural and Homesteading Displays
Local agricultural businesses will join us. You can ask questions and gather ideas from people who work with the land every day. Our community seed swap event also features homesteader displays, deer conservation seed mixes, and helpful resources for agricultural management. It’s a good chance to learn, share ideas, and meet others in our rural community.
If you provide agricultural services or products, we would love to have you at Seed Swap. Please fill out a vendor application. If you have an idea for an educational demonstration and want a slot in our schedule, please email [email protected].

Volunteer Project with Master Gardeners
Master Gardeners and community volunteers will help lead a front bed installation project during our event. We’ll be adding new perennials to refresh and strengthen the space for everyone who visits throughout the year. If you enjoy hands‑on learning, this is a welcoming place to jump in.
Invitation to Madison County Master Gardeners
We understand that Certified Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners complete 25 volunteer hours each year to maintain certification. While we don’t want to assume what qualifies toward those hours, we’d love to explore whether this project could be a good fit, and we welcome Master Gardeners to reach out if they are looking for new service opportunities at a local non-profit.
Help Shape Our Front Bed
We’re selecting perennial plants now and would love early involvement in the planning process. If you have design ideas or plants you’d like to include, we’d be excited to collaborate.
We’re plant lovers ourselves — especially Hellebores for their winter blooms and Ajuga for its beautiful ground coverage foliage — and we’d be thrilled to work with gardeners who share that passion.
What We Provide
- Tools and materials
- Perennial plants (or space for yours)
- A dedicated area in our front bed for Master Gardener planning and stewardship
If you’re interested in discussing possibilities or advising on the design, we’d love to hear from you.
Please email [email protected] concerning the volunteer project.

Tour the Community Garden Bed
Our raised community garden bed will be open! It measures roughly 3.5 feet by 16 feet and built for easy access. This is a shared space for everyone throughout the year. We invite you to look around and think about how it can serve the community in the season ahead. It’s been filled with soil and it’s ready for the growing season!
Our community seed swap event is shaped by your ideas and your involvement.

Sponsor Package
Becoming a Seed Swap sponsor helps our community grow together. Your contribution supports the perennial plant selection cared for by our Master Gardener volunteers and provides community garden supplies, advertising for the Seed Swap event, and staffing and venue costs for our spring gatherings.
Sponsors get their business logo and name acknowledged on Seed Swap digital materials and campaigns, offering meaningful visibility with local families, gardeners, and community members. The recommended sponsorship amount is $2,000, and every donation, large or small, helps this shared space continue to bloom.

Together We Grow
Our goal is to build a place where people connect, learn, and feel at home. When you bring seeds to the community seed swap event, you help create something lasting. When you take seeds home, you take a part of this community with you. Thank you for helping us grow this space together.
