November Ledge Conversations
Welcome to the ups and downs of our west Tennessee autumnal season! We’ve changed our clocks but not the sun, eaten up all the Halloween candy (just to get it out of the way, right?), voted in a major transition project for our Federal Government, taken up fallen leaf management, and started thinking in terms of turkey and assorted bowl games in the near future. OK and some are pulling boxes of tinsel and outdoor lighting just because that’ll be next. Actually, it is a very good time for us all to find our bulldog gears and get busy!
We have some good things to report on here at Creekside, so settle in and take note!
First, did you notice our new address? We are still The Ledge at Spring Creek – but now you find us in the network world at www.scledge.org. We are particularly pleased to see the “.org” part, as it better describes the reason we’re here. But it sure is easier to call out 7 letters instead of 21 when we’re trying to tell everyone how to reach us.
Then you’re seeing our new logo and web page design. Many thanks to Devin Johnson and Beth Floyd for their artistic talent, and to Andy Hall for leading our branding march. Have you seen any Spring Creek T-shirts out in the hedgerows? We have them available for purchase at The Ledge, and plan to keep a steady supply on hand.
And now for the fun stuff!

Thanksgiving Lunch
The Ledge family has room at the table for any of you who need a good Thanksgiving plan. Many of you are booked with travel plans or in-coming family and already have a meal in the making, but in case you are available we’d love to have you join us – Thanksgiving Day at noon. No reservations are needed, but we’d like a general head-count if you already know you’re interested. And the only cost will be bring-a-side-dish. The Ledge is providing turkey, dressing and giblet gravy, and we’ll keep a list of what parts of the menu are needing a provider.
As always, we could use some volunteers for prep, staging and clean-up. Just call or email to let us know your heart for service
Christmas Jam
We’ve had local musicians jamming here since early fall, and now we’re ready to bring in the choir. Please join us to enjoy the music as we celebrate Christmas with much joyful carol-singing. David McMillan will keep us all in tune, and there may be a cookie or two wandering out to the buffet table. Meet with us on Sunday afternoon December 15th at 4pm.
Biscuits ‘n’ Tips
Not yet! But we plan to put this back on our Tuesday morning calendars as soon as the new year gets here … and probably weather permitting until the daffodils return.
