Fall 2024

The Ledge building for promo materials

What a Summer!

The Ledge has taken a turn this summer with a fresh look and soon-to-announce up-graded web address, new “open hours”, a fire pit coming along, and some really exciting events launching.  It has taken every bit of our first year’s operation to figure out all the moving parts, and to learn that most of the parts will keep on shuffling if we’re to keep up with all that might bless this growing community.

Event Recap

Warm weather arrived about the same time as Mothers Day, and while most folks gathered around their designated family holiday tables, we gathered a pretty good crowd of locals for lunch at The Ledge, those who weren’t expected elsewhere and who wanted to enjoy the family vibe with neighbors.

Warm turned to hot and we swept up the parking lot to host Yard-Salers in June.  And about the time that smoke cleared we watched many of you pull out your best Red White & Blues for a really inspiring  July 4th Parade … after which we had to eat again, you know.

August brought us Primary Elections for which Precinct 28 was hosted by The Ledge, and then visiting Professor Jeremiah Regan from Hillsdale College came down to deliver a wonderful seminar on the US Constitution – and now we’re looking forward to our major annual event in October to launch the holiday season.  Just keep reading!

Spring Creek Celebration

Music, games, t-shirts, museum displays, BBQ, raffles, campfire – all coming this way as the temperatures begin to cool and we set up for one final 2024 lawn party.  Living Memories has been an annual event since 2016, but this year we’re escalating it to Celebration!  Please mark the date on your calendars and share the plans with all of those around you who know and love this neck of the woods.  This is an all-call for good ideas, old pictures, volunteers and all who want to celebrate The Creek!

Biscuits ‘n’ Tips – Bible Studies – Acoustic Jams

You know, events are big and beautiful, but these Enrichment and Entertainment pieces of our calendar are becoming the heartbeat of fellowship.  All are free and no reservations required, so set the notification button on your phone and drop in when you get a chance.

Step Up to The Ledge

  • The Ledge is intended to anchor and focus area families and businesses on the backbone requirements for a prosperous and productive community environment, to encourage neighbors in supporting each other and prospective residents in making the decision to move in this direction, and to encourage deliberate and meaningful development of the community’s crossroads of Highways 70 and 152.
  • We are serving all those who join the effort with faith & family based programs designed to educate, enrich and entertain.
  • Through generations, across our neighborhoods, into the quagmire of current culture – we can share in the work of supporting our neighbors by finding the needs and working together.
