SUMMARY:Seed Swap
DESCRIPTION:Seed Swap is Growing! \n\n\n\nBring Your Seed Bank and Much More\n\n\n\nOur community seed swap event is back and growing with new activities\, new vendors\, and new ways to connect. This gathering is for anyone who loves gardening\, homesteading\, and rural living. Bring seeds and plants to share with your neighbors! Tag along with your family\, your friends\, and your curiosity. Our space is yours. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVendor Information \n\n\n\n• \n\n\n\nAre you a business that would like to sponsor Seed Swap? \n\n\n\n\n\nDemonstration Schedule:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMaster Gardener \n\n\n\n\n\n9:30 – 10:15 AMDonald CollompLocation: Master Gardener’s Table \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLuffa Making \n\n\n\n\n\n10:30 – 11:00 AMKathryn BushLocation: Booth B1 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBeekeeping \n\n\n\n\n\n11:00 – 11:30 AMTimothy KuykendallLocation: Booth A1 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFood Plots \n\n\n\n\n\n11:30 AM – 12:00 PMJason PattersonLocation: Booth B2 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPickle Making \n\n\n\n\n\n1:00 – 1:30 PMJohn SalleyLocation: Seed Swap Table \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlant Cloning \n\n\n\n\n\n1:30 – 2:00 PMDevin JohnsonLocation: Seed Swap Table \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFlower Drying \n\n\n\n\n\n2:00 – 2:30 PMKelly VoylesLocation: Seed Swap Table \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSeed Swap Area\n\n\n\n\nThe heart of our community seed swap event is the exchange table. You can bring seeds from your garden\, leftover packets\, or varieties you want to introduce to others. You can also bring plants to trade. This is a simple way to learn from one another and help each other grow. Everyone is welcome\, no matter your level of experience. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlant and Handmade Goods Vendors\n\n\n\n\nThis year’s community seed swap event includes a full vendor area. You can browse perennial plants\, indoor plants\, and hard‑to‑find exotics for sale. You will also find handmade items like soaps\, balms\, pottery\, and natural products. These booths support local makers and give you a chance to bring home something unique. \n\n\n\nInterested in being a vendor? \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAgricultural and Homesteading Displays\n\n\n\n\nLocal agricultural businesses will join us. You can ask questions and gather ideas from people who work with the land every day. Our community seed swap event also features homesteader displays\, deer conservation seed mixes\, and helpful resources for agricultural management. It’s a good chance to learn\, share ideas\, and meet others in our rural community. \n\n\n\nIf you provide agricultural services or products\, we would love to have you at Seed Swap. Please fill out a vendor application. If you have an idea for an educational demonstration and want a slot in our schedule\, please email kim@scledge.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteer Project with Master Gardeners\n\n\n\n\nMaster Gardeners and community volunteers will help lead a front bed installation project during our event. We’ll be adding new perennials to refresh and strengthen the space for everyone who visits throughout the year. If you enjoy hands‑on learning\, this is a welcoming place to jump in. \n\n\n\nInvitation to Madison County Master Gardeners\n\n\n\nWe understand that Certified Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners complete 25 volunteer hours each year to maintain certification. While we don’t want to assume what qualifies toward those hours\, we’d love to explore whether this project could be a good fit\, and we welcome Master Gardeners to reach out if they are looking for new service opportunities at a local non-profit. \n\n\n\nHelp Shape Our Front Bed\n\n\n\nWe’re selecting perennial plants now and would love early involvement in the planning process. If you have design ideas or plants you’d like to include\, we’d be excited to collaborate. \n\n\n\nWe’re plant lovers ourselves — especially Hellebores for their winter blooms and Ajuga for its beautiful ground coverage foliage — and we’d be thrilled to work with gardeners who share that passion. \n\n\n\nWhat We Provide\n\n\n\n\nTools and materials\n\n\n\nPerennial plants (or space for yours)\n\n\n\nA dedicated area in our front bed for Master Gardener planning and stewardship\n\n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in discussing possibilities or advising on the design\, we’d love to hear from you. \n\n\n\nPlease email devin@scledge.org concerning the volunteer project. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTour the Community Garden Bed\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur raised community garden bed will be open! It measures roughly 3.5 feet by 16 feet and built for easy access. This is a shared space for everyone throughout the year. We invite you to look around and think about how it can serve the community in the season ahead. It’s been filled with soil and it’s ready for the growing season! \n\n\n\nOur community seed swap event is shaped by your ideas and your involvement. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInterested in becoming a vendor?\n\n\n\nClick the button below. \n\n\n\nVENDOR APPLICATION\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooth Pricing\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOutside\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n5’x5′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$20 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n10’x10′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$80 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n10’x20′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$160 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1st Floor\n\n\n\n(Indoor) \n\n\n\n+ electricity included \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x4′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$36 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x6′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$54 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x8′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$72 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n6’x8′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$108 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8’x8′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$144 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8’x10′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$180 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2nd Floor\n\n\n\n(Indoor Mezzanine) \n\n\n\n+ electricity included \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x4′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$28 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x6′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$42 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x8′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$56 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x12′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$84 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x16′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$112 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n4’x20′ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$140 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFill out our vendor form today and help our Seed Swap grow into a welcoming space for families\, gardeners\, and neighbors. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSponsor Package\n\n\n\nBecoming a Seed Swap sponsor helps our community grow together. The recommended sponsorship amount is $2\,000\, and every donation\, large or small\, helps this shared space continue to bloom. \n\n\n\n\n\nFor more details concerning sponsorships please email kim@scledge.org \n\n\n\nOther inquiries contact us today. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTogether We Grow\n\n\n\nOur goal is to build a place where people connect\, learn\, and feel at home. When you bring seeds to the community seed swap event\, you help create something lasting. When you take seeds home\, you take a part of this community with you. Thank you for helping us grow this space together.
